Website Cost in Egypt: How to Read a Quote and Define the Scope

A campaign page, company site and store may all be called a website, but their scopes differ. Learn what to clarify before agreeing a price.

Website cost follows your business requirements: content, visitor journeys, functionality, integrations and management after handover. Comparing two figures without comparing these requirements can lead to an unsuitable choice.

How does a starting price differ from a project quote?

A starting price refers to a described basic scope, such as a single-language landing page with supplied content. More pages, copywriting, bookings or internal-system integrations change the workload. The figure is therefore neither a final price for every project nor a maximum.

A proposal follows requirements review. It sets implementation and deliverables, cost, schedule, payments, reviews and offer validity. Once approved, additions outside its scope receive a separate estimate and approval.

What affects the cost?

  • Content and languages: page and product count, preparing copy and imagery, and translation.
  • Design: screen variety, interaction states and mobile experience review.
  • Functionality: a basic enquiry form differs from user accounts, bookings or a full store.
  • Integrations and data: payments, shipping, system connections and data migration and testing.
  • Operation: content management, permissions, training, support and maintenance requirements.

Starting scopes at Cipher

Explore these scopes, then open the service page for its starting price and details. Company websites, advanced stores and custom features are quoted by requirements; third-party fees are listed separately.

Landing pageA single-language landing page for one service or campaign, using client-supplied content and a basic enquiry form. Copywriting and custom integrations are scoped separately.
Company websiteA website presenting your company, services and work. Pages, languages and content management are defined before quoting.
Custom buildBooking, memberships or multiple languages — quoted to the shape of your project.
Starter storeAn agreed limited catalogue, one currency and language, and a basic ordering journey. Product count, data entry, payments and shipping are specified in the proposal.
Advanced storeLarger catalogues, branches, multiple currencies, inventory integrations or custom reporting. We review operations before preparing a tailored proposal.
Quick launchA store on a hosted platform with a monthly subscription — faster and cheaper to start, and we will tell you honestly when that is the better fit.

Operating costs to ask about

  • Domain and hosting: ask about initial and renewal costs and resource requirements, with accounts registered to your business.
  • Payments and shipping: providers set subscription terms, transaction and service fees; the proposal defines the agreed integration.
  • Paid tools: fonts, plugins, platforms and messaging services may need separate licences or subscriptions.
  • Support and maintenance: define coverage, duration and responsibility for updates and backups, distinguishing fixes to agreed work from new features.

How can you start with a suitable budget?

Define the main launch goal. You might start with a clear company presentation and enquiry form, adding a customer portal or advanced integration later. Useful phasing preserves the core journey and postpones features that launch does not need.

Questions for reviewing any proposal

  1. Which pages, languages and features are included, and which items are excluded?
  2. Who prepares content and data, and when are approvals needed?
  3. How are milestones reviewed, and what are the review rounds and acceptance criteria?
  4. What are the payments, operating costs, external fees and offer validity?
  5. Which files and permissions will I receive, and how do support and change requests work?
